Leave it up to Cheney to take such a vile action…then again, BOOsh is also very capable of vile dictations that directly impact the welfare of every person, animal and plant on this planet. When you pump that gas tank and wonder why prices hover in the area of $4 a gallon, don’t blame it on the lack of drilling here in the U.S. or off our shores. Instead, you should focus your anger squarely on an adopted approach by BOOsh and his Corporate Oil-masters to dramatically increase the amount of refined oil exported to other countries while leaving the rate of refining said oil at an incredible low. Therein lies a (if not the) root of our woes. A food crisis is spreading throughout the world; will you be ready, are we – as a nation – prepared for the catastrophic events to come? Well, considering the fact that – in BOOsh and McCain’s America – roughly 65% of all corporations foreign and domestic have each had at least one year completely exempted from federal taxes (despite a total generated profit among all corporations selling in America of over 2 trillion dollars) coupled with the fact that 1 out of every three Americans haven’t a clue as to what is going on in the world; I’d say that our country is certainly ill-equipped to handle this issue. Most Doctors interviewed in a number of surveys pertaining to the inclusion of insurance companies in the handling of our nation’s health complain about said insurers meddling with the physician’s ability to treat their patients. Is it too hard to ask our Democratic and Republican representatives in government to exclude these money grubbing bastards from our healthcare system? Well, when assessing McCain’s plan, you learn that his crew feel that the solution rests in “redefining” what it means to be “insured” to “cease and desist from describing any American – even illegal aliens – as uninsured. Instead, the bureau should categorize people according to the likely source of payment should they need care.” In other words, if you haven’t insurance, then you are on your own. Congressman Kucinich’s tireless efforts to force congress to take action on the numerous crimes perpetrated by the BOOsh Regime should by admired and honored, but when he aw fit to force the House to listen to nearly five hours of an official reading of 35 articles of impeachment submitted against BOOsh; many Democrats and Repugs were disgruntled. One Repug, bitter over the fact that his plans to pay tribute to a soldier were postponed by a constitutionally mandated mechanism to protect this society, stated: “He’s wasting his time, he’s wasting our time, he’s preventing things from getting done that need to be done, so we require them to read it on the floor today to say to them, by God, if you want to waste our time, go ahead and do it.” However, he and other repugs would then turn around and force an encore reading of the whole resolution the next day…lol. Their complaints about these progressive efforts to thwart the ascension of tyranny in this land are no more than typical acts of political grandstanding. Pelosi recently told the Nation (magazine) that she won’t launch impeachment proceeds against BOOsh and Lord Cheney because…they are destroying the country, its infrastructure, relations with other nations and there’s a supposed lack of “information” required to impeach (maybe she doesn’t have the information because she has dissenters – who wish to address and educate her - within her rallies arrested and hasn’t bothered to review the articles of impeachment submitted by Kucinich). Oh yeah, she also noted that it was basically more important to achieve a political victory than it is to perform the responsibilities her job constitutionally entails. When we elected a Democratic Congress in 2006, we weren’t expecting a new Speaker who lacks the ability to comprehend the reality of BOOsh and his Cabal’s action. A real winner that Pelosi is, but I guess that’s what we asked for given our blind support of a group of tainted Democrats who believe that impeachment isn’t necessary because the B.I.C. has been “impeached by history”. Preposterous… As we continue to await Congressional action to effectively deal with BOOsh’s innumerable crimes, the number of overreaching signing statements that undermine the legislative authority of congress by altering said legislation to fit into the dictator’s agenda has reached a new and troubling height. One of those hundreds upon hundreds of laws modified to BOOsh’s preferences ignores restrictions passed by Congress and signed by he – the dictator – that prohibit the construction and institution of permanent bases in Iraq. According to some reports, over 50 of such illegal bases are in the process of being arranged by the regime. It appears as if phones, mail and the internet aren’t all that our police state wants to spy on; your brain might be next. Recent consideration of funding for experimental research on different methods to help fight crime includes detecting and decoding brain activity to possibly help law enforcers determine “intent to commit a crime”. Doesn’t that just eerily resemble “Minority Report” and “1984”? One of BOOsh’s recently issued Executive Orders expanded upon the authority of the National Intelligence Director to permit the occupant of said office access to information gathered by a number of agencies – the limits of which is undetermined – including those containing your private information. Just another way for BOOsh to know everything about you. Amidst the regime’s endless efforts to expand upon its powers of surveillance, the FBI is now pursuing the authority to investigate/survey citizens without warrant or even “any basis for suspicion”. Why the f**k would that be necessary? The erosion of our constitution continues… Need an explanation as to why the spineless Democrats in Congress – including Obama – voted to expand upon BOOsh’s powers of surveillance? Look no further than one of the key sponsors of the convention in Denver; AT&T. No kidding, just ridiculous. The reason I’m defecting from the Democratic Party; the so-called leadership at every party level has completely lost its way and has decided that it is better to give BOOsh everything he wants in addition to not focusing on and trying him for his crimes, thus damning this country to plunge into an Authoritarian Dictatorship than it would be to honor the founders of the party and the nation by striving to utilize every tool to avert a crisis of disastrous proportions! Apparently selling out the constitution has its quirks…just look at how it’s paid off for the traitors in congress. Hell, the bastards in the Obama campaign sought to censor convention speeches that contained lines like the following: “They’re asking for another four years — in a just world, they’d get 10 to 20.” This type of reluctance to pursue justice or even hint at the imperative therefore is precisely why the Democratic Party has become the “good” twin of the Repugs. Reason number two for my defection: The party and its major players seem to take their primary base for granted, stomp and sh*t all over us and expect us just to remain loyal…f**k that!! When pressed on what she wishes she could’ve done differently in her career, Nancy Pelosi noted that she would’ve done more to prevent the Iraq War from occurring. She even goes so far as to claim that there wasn’t much – to her recollection – that could’ve been done. One Word, Speaker: Bulls**t. How many more voters from all walks of life can this nation disenfranchise? Is there a limit? Apparently the number is unlimited as it even victimizes elderly voters who are too old to provide either an ID or Birth Certificate at the polls. There is no disguising just how repulsive this policy is…nor the fact that Congress is ensuring that it won’t be getting better any time soon. There is a right wing, neoconservative, ultra-religious group of fanatics who are plotting to organize an effort to challenge the tax laws pertaining to restrictions on religious corruption to influence an election in order to overturn said law as “unconstitutional”. Needless to say, this election year just got a hell of a lot more interesting. As part of a highly concentrated effort by the rightwing propaganda machine to generate support for lifting a prohibition on offshore drilling; a new myth about the Chinese drilling for oil off Cuba’ coast has been circulated and effectively debunked. The truth is, no one is drilling off Cuba’s coast, rather China has a contract to drill within the island communist nation. To avoid a congressional investigation; the Injustice Department agreed to confidentially settle a conflict of interest case on a questionable governmental grant awarded to a certain group that aims to improve family courts. There really is no service or role of government free of corruption by the BOOsh cabal… A political correspondent with CNN has let it slip; when Jessica Yellin was with MSNBC, during the days of BOOsh’s highest approval ratings, she was forced by her bosses to submit positive pieces on the dictator while all of her negatively toned reports were chopped up. Privatized media really is a cancer to the advancement of a truly free and prosperous society… There is word that circulating within the Regime - for quite some time now – has been the obvious and expressed concern of criminal prosecutions for the numerous illegal antics of same said regime. Too bad Congress won’t give them something to fear for real… Scotty McClellan confessed in July that the Regime has used Faux News as its chief propaganda wing thusly refuting any claim by that network to be “fair and balanced”. Honestly, we really didn’t need the word of BOOsh’s former Propagandist in Chief to confirm that. BOOsh, through the Veterans Administration, has prohibited efforts by non-partisan voter registration groups to canvass nursing homes, homeless shelters, and rehab centers that contain veterans and happen to be federally funded as a result. How can this even be legal?! There should be no question that an ulterior motive is behind this directive. Prepare yourselves for yet another scandal-ridden election debacle, and then organize for a third time in a row to demand that congress investigate and rectify it!! In a sure sign of things to come; during the set up of the Repug’s convention, riot gear-wearing police staged raids in a number of houses that were guilty of nothing more than participating in peaceful demonstrations surrounding said convention. BOOsh’s America – as enabled by a lame Democratic Congress – at work! Astonishing is it not; how an entire nation could overlook an admission by BOOsh that the next attack on this nation or an ally is likely brewing amongst the disenchanted in Afghanistan and that he won’t devote any more energy/funds/manpower to that region until things improve in Iraq? The fact is that the people are still ill-informed and the so-called leaders in the Democratic Party are just as guilty as the media for not doing more to keep us all informed and taking action to hold the criminals accountable for their crimes. Not too long ago on a political panel, Pat Buchanan claimed that – with all the ongoing tensions between the BOOsh Regime and Iran – we could “expect air strikes” in Iran before the election. Now how would an insider like Buchanan get an idea like that? By now all have certainly learned of BOOsh’s awareness and approval of torture in interrogations of detainees and other prisoners. Is it possible that he approved the use of sexually torturous techniques as used in Iraq as well? It deserves a look, but how prepared is our constitutional safeguard from this tyranny to do its damn job, especially when the Regime feels they only have to obey the law on a “case by case basis”?!! For the sake of humanity and liberty; CONGRESS DEVELOPE A SPINE AND ACT ALREADY!!! After a judge involved in the trying of detainees held at Guantanamo Bay refused to let the prosecution of one suspect proceed without said suspect’s lawyers having access to the evidence against them; the department of defense removed said judge. The arrogance of the regime is simply astounding… While BOOsh and company go out of their way to convince you and I that the Iranians are building “the bomb” to then give it to terrorists who would smuggle it in the country and kill us all, he and his cohorts have been striking deals with the Saudi Government to help them develop the very source for energy that has served as a beacon of controversy for Iran…troubling paradox, is it not? That’s not all; it appears as though BOOsh has been spending half a billion of your tax dollars on financing an anti-American TV station that broadcasts in the Arab World. Now why would our dear leader want to do such a thing like that? According to a report that was released in June, while BOOsh exports millions of dollars worth of American products to Iran; he also ordered the extensive covert operations that have already begun in Iran to destabilize the country, weaken its government and possibly provoke them to commit an act that could constitute a war crime, thus creating a rationale for war. In a recently unveiled brainstorming session between Cheney and some of his trusty puppets; the group pondered how to provoke war with Iran. One such idea that was floated around the meeting involved the construction of phony Iranian boats (like those in the Strait of Hormuz incident a few months ago) coupled with disguising a number of Navy Seals as Iranians to – in turn – stage an act of war against an American naval ship. It was rejected, but the mere thought that the Regime actually contemplated an idea that could cost American lives is beyond reproach. Do you remember the story about the Arab-Canadian who was kidnapped in New York by the CIA and sent to Syria for imprisonment and interrogation? Well, three Democrats in Congress called for BOOsh’s Chief Attorney to bring in a foreign prosecutor to handle the case and investigate the matter. The proposal was quickly rejected as Michael Mukasey (who believes that “not every violation of the law is a crime”) claimed that sending the Canadian to Syria as opposed to his home in Canada was vital to the National Security Interests of this country…and safer. Errr…what? Flashback to Autumn 2001, the nation was taken by storm with the timing of the anthrax attacks that seemed to succeed the attacks on 9/11. Immediately, the media drew their own conclusions on the crisis, pointing their fingers at the phantom-like al-Qaeda. Doesn’t it strike you as odd that after nearly 7 years in a supposedly thorough investigation; the federal government suddenly concludes that a suicidal scientist who worked for the military was behind it the entire time? I mean, how in the hell did someone – with a psychotic profile such as his - who should’ve been at the top of the list of suspects end up becoming one of the last people considered? Truly amazing. The BOOsh Regime has saw fit to threaten relations and cooperation with Great Britain if their high court forces the disclosure of potentially torturous techniques implemented in the interrogation of a former detainee of Guantanamo Bay that include the use of razor blades on his penis by Moroccans on behalf of BOOsh!! Do you feel that Congress represents your interests and will? Maybe a look at a scheme (conceived by the Demug leaders therein) to offer BOOsh a funding proposal that would finance the occupation as late as June of next year (with a few little domestic spending projects snuck in) will change your mind for better or worse. Needless to say, I’m fed up with congress and its appalling ineptness in countering the BOOsh Doctrine. I mean, it’s pretty bad when former chief commander over the handling of the occupation – Gen. Sanchez is able to take the gloves off and acknowledge BOOsh’s crimes while congress twiddles their thumbs…for heaven’s sake; the man is genocidal!! A member of congress within the Demug Majority acknowledged that the group of partisans this nation elected to lead the direction of legislation at the federal level has basically given up on bringing an end to the failed occupation of Iraq. We really must reconsider their qualifications for running the government this year and hold said consideration over their heads as a warning that if they don’t deliver than neither will we. It would appear as if our problems in Iraq have only begun. On January 1st, the occupation – according to international law - becomes illegal and leaves our soldiers vulnerable to lawsuits and/or prosecution. So the Regime is scrambling to negotiate an agreement with the Iraqi government that would pave the way for an extensive military and economic dominance in Iraq. The most interesting part is that Nouri Al-Maliki (who demands a clear date for withdrawal), once BOOsh’s favorite member of the puppet-government, has turned his back on BOOsh and handed the agreement to Parliament for consideration; where it will most certainly die, and the regime knows it. This, however, doesn’t appear to deter BOOsh from forcing his occupation on the Iraqis as he is prepared and even determined to hold hostage their security and 20 Billion Dollars (roughly 40% of their economy) in order to achieve his objective. As the days continue to come and go, the only inevitable truth about this occupation is that it MUST come to an end in order to secure this nation and restore some semblance of stability to the region. The politicization of the Department of Defense is beyond deplorable, because it is the wing of our federal executive branch that is charged with the responsibility of securing and protecting us. During the rebellion of high-level military officials against the BOOsh Doctrine, an entourage of so-called “experts”, organized by Rumsfeld and company, were deployed to the major media markets (and, of course, none of these targeted networks are willing to comment) to try and counter the effects of the aforementioned military commander insurgency. Although this kind of conspiring to propagate could constitute a crime; I’ve about given up on demanding congressional action by this point. One can understand the frustration of returning soldiers from the mess in Iraq to make a brief home in a place like Fort Bragg. As displayed by an amateur video released not too long ago; the conditions there are horrendous and down right repugnant. Why the f**k doesn’t the defense department with its 430 Billion-plus Dollar budget resolve this?! A plot to parade weapons discovered in a bust as being from Iran was foiled recently when it was learned that Iran wasn’t the source thereof. Just how desperate is the regime to build a case for war with Iran? If you hear anyone claim that Yellowcake Uranium was discovered in Iraq and is direct proof that BOOsh was right; just let this sink in: The Yellowcake that was found was authorized by the International Atomic Energy Agency and the UN and was not capable of use for weaponry. Myth busted! In July, Nouri Al-Maliki – Prime Minister of Iraq – called for a clear timetable for a full withdrawal and reminded the media that, as of January 1st, the UN Mandate for the occupation’s recognition expires and that the continued occupation of Iraq requires the approval of the occupied. It should be no mystery by now that the recently released book from Ron Suskind reveals a plot by the Regime to deceive the people and rally their support for a war and occupation based on lies by means of a series of falsehoods including a forged letter from Saddam’s Intelligence Chief to Saddam himself regarding the purported and long-since debunked link between Iraq and Al-Qaeda in addition to the alleged uranium sales from Niger. Apparently, the regime forged the letter themselves and then had their captive – the aforementioned Intelligence Chief – transcribe said letter in his own handwriting to establish its legitimacy. Of course, there were those within this conspiracy who knew that it all was a lie, even Tenet, who was informed by the high-profile captive that there were no WMDs. One of the others was the head of CIA’s WINPAC; who’s on record with his doubts about the presence of WMDs in Iraq prior to the invasion even though he was ordering his subordinates to pull out all stops to help build the case for war all the while. It just feels more and more everyday as if we in the Reality-Based Community are beating a dead horse…argh What advice does our traitorous and inept House Speaker have for those of us who demand an end to the occupation of Iraq? “Elect Barack”…wtf? So the people of Iraq, the taxpayers of this country, the future of this nation and most importantly, the brave men and women doing BOOsh’s dirty work are all being held hostage for a f**king election? Congress had its chance to end this nightmare but succumbed to the political pressure of a man without enough popular support to apply said pressure. Honestly, Pelosi, you can go to hell!! One is tempted to speculate whether or not McCain is attempting to provoke our foes abroad with proposals to outcast Russia and China from the G8 in response to their democratic setbacks. However, if this is somehow based on the democratic state or lack thereof in those particular nations, then – based on that premise – we should be left out of the next G8 convention as well. Just food for thought. Things aren’t improving much on trying to avert a potential second cold war in the wake of the conflict between Georgia (the country) and Russia (the aforementioned country’s former imperial master). It appears as if Russia could elect to completely sever its ties with NATO in response to their condemnation of Russia’s invasion of Georgia that was meant to oust Georgia from South Ossetia (much like how we ousted Iraq from Kuwait in 1990-91). What’s especially problematic in the event that Russia does such a thing is that it could compromise NATO’s use of Russian airspace for their access to Afghanistan. It is so tragic that we lack true leadership in the midst of an international crisis such as this… My disgust for Congress is well noted by this point in time, and it only grows by the day. Especially when BOOsh still stands victorious in pushing for the confirmation of his nominated controversial candidates for the federal judiciary. This continued disastrous approach to “compromise” will only advance the BOOsh agenda and plunge this nation further into darkness.
